“ Greeted by whom I believed was the owner. She was very nice, friendly. The place looked clean. I arrived just in time for the buffet which looked good. This was not one of the biggest Indian buffets I've been to, but they had the core foods that I enjoy getting. Butter chicken, tandoori chicken, curry chicken and goat, chickpeas, curry veggies, veggie pakoras. One thing I should have asked if they switch out the buffets or if it was the same everyday. I tried all the proteins and definitely the butter chicken was my favorite, so that's my recommendation if anyone stops by to try this place. ”
“ Food still good but portions have become smaller for the same price. A bit disappointing, Won't be going as often. No longer a good bank for the buck. ”
“ Today is Tuesday. Came here for the buffet, which I've had before and enjoyed, and saw the sign outside that buffet lunch is Fri, Sat and Sun only. Oh well. We ordered off the menu. The food was quite good and the portions large. We started with an appetizer of Samosa Chaat. Very flavorful and a nice size portion for the two of us. I found the flavor to be complex and delightful. The samosa underneath the chickpeas had a nice texture. For entrees, I had the Vegetable Biryani and my partner had the Chicken Curry. We also ordered Garlic Naan. The vegetable biryani was huge. When she brought it over and saw the look on my face, the server said "we have boxes." Although it was delicious, I ate less than one fourth of it (I did have the samosa chaat and some naan, after all). Carrots, green beans, and cauliflower were the main vegis. The rice was prepared nicely. My partner said the curry was very good. It came with a nice portion of rice. Also brought some of that home. The garlic naan was really good. It was prepared in such way that it looked like a thin layer of bread coated with lots of minced garlic and then covered by more thin bread. Excellent texture and taste. The service was very good. We ordered only water for beverages and the server kept us will filled glasses throughout. I prefer buffet here because of the variety and the price. But we do have a lot of leftovers (enough for an entire other meal), so I have no complaints. ”
“ They have a buffet on the weekends for $20 a person. I was starving so I tried a little of everything. The service was impeccable, the waiter came over a few times to make sure my water glass was full. The butter chicken was delicious and flavorful. Overall I'd give this experience an 8 out of 10. ”
“ 5 Tried this Bangladeshi restaurant near Silver Spring called Maurya Kebabs and Curries....its a hole in the wall kinda place, nothing fancy but good food. Tried their lunch buffet.....had goat curry, cabbage curry, butter chicken along with Naan and pulao rice.....loved it. Definitely try them out. Shibani manages the front along and Desmond cooks up the delicacies ”
“ I love Indian food, one of my favorite dishes is curried chickpeas. I went to this restaurant with no expectations and emerged as a total fan. The dish was both tasty and sufficiently spicy to my liking. BOTH the service and the product taste made me happy. I definitely recommend this restaurant. ”
“ It's been a while since I was here, but the closings of my favorite Indian buffets led me to try again The food is much better, and while the buffet is small, it touches all the bases. Highlight: tandoori chicken was moist, tender, and flavorful. Naan is very good if you catch it while it's still hot. Goat curry was tender and richly but mildly seasoned. Disappointment: Butter chicken did not have the hearty flavor I expected. I did enjoy the varying levels of heat, though I do like a nice scalp sweat. Cordial service, and at $16.95 a reasonable value. It ain't Sapphire, but it's back in the rotation. ”
“ Very impressed and highly recommended! I ordered from Uber Eats a plain naan, a four-pack of the aloo tiki (smashed potato patties), paneer tikka masala (Indian cheese), and bhindi masala (okra). Everything was well packaged. The paneer tikka masala was creamy, full of pillowy cubes of fresh paneer, super tasty, and a great portion, adequate for splitting. The okra dish was like 5 lbs, meaning what an awesome value--flavorful, warm, seasoned well, and incredibly tasty. The naan was large and crispy and fresh and warm and buttery! The aloo tiki tasted so good, wasn't greasy or oily, and good bite-sized pieces. Combined well with the two chutneys (tamarind and cilantro). I'm so happy and pleased with the food! And it's near my home so I would definitely order from here again. ”
“ It was a day when hubby and I were craving some Indian food after having something amazing out in the west coast. After Bombay in White Oak closed its doors the search is on for another spot that tastes like a home cooked meal. Upon arriving we were informed we had missed their buffet style offered, oh well, I have not been less happy with the average amount of Indian food in front of me. We decided on the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Saag, and more garlic naan with our plain naan. Wow wow wow, I'm drooling recalling this visit and just how much food we ate before bursting at our seams! The flavor could make me cry happy tears, the naan couldn't have tasted fresher unless maybe had I went to India. The Chicken and the lamb were sooo tender, it basically falls off the bones and right into my rice. I would say my favorite moment dining in was when someone's uncle or dad peeked at us from behind the door to the kitchen. It warmed my heart to know he made our food because we felt like we were home having a family meal! I would definitely recommend this spot for a meal made with love like our own family would do. Do be patient, delicious food takes time and it's totally worth it! ”
